Did You Miss Me???(Onimusha 3 Review)

Phew more than two long years have gone through without me fulfilling my promise. Sorry, as I was engaged with different issues in life like college, games, ACCOMMODATION and JOB

So, here I am back with a new game to include in my list of "The Game That Rocks". The Game is named "Onimusha 3 Demon Siege".

Well I was first introduced to playstation 2 with a prequel of this game called "Onimusha 2 The Warlords"

Now I am here to write about Demon Siege. The Game starts off a man named Samanosuke Akechi fighting Genma in Japan close to 1540(I don't remember correctly) and some hoe he jumps time to modern world where he meets Jacques Blanc(I think he is modeled after a hollywood actor in MI2)

Now there is lot of cool and awesome fighting with lots of puzzle solving. The most important phase of the game is the traversal between the present and the past with the ever intriguing question as what will be needed in what time and by what character. The time travel is done by a time portal and thats my most interesting part of the game.

Now the game is great because of the Weapon Enhancement feature and they have introduced a new system of with ako(a pixie kinda character). The system is such that you can have different powers with different coloured clothes of ako like only enhancement souls after killing or health recovery if the character is not moved.

The game has high visuals(i didn't say graphics) and it looks astonishing with some great scenes like the one in which the character fights an unlimited army of genma and the Eiffel Tower Scene. The sound and the music is great. Gameplay is Resident Evil Type so its awesome. Great Puzzle solving and the best part is the Weapon enhancement system. There are some bosses you find in the way but the final boss Lord Oda Nobunaga is quite easy to kill.

Overall it is a good game not for the faint of heart(lol) and is included in the list of "The Game That Rocks"

The DOOM of Sword Slashing

After I played Prince Of Persia Warrior Within I never thought that I would be playing a shooting game, but DOOM 3 came to me as a gift from my good old friend.

I had got my new computer 3 days ago and wanted to buy POPWW so that i can again slash some sand demons. But I had no money left to buy the game. When my friend heard that I have got a new computer with high end configuration, he gifted me with DOOM 3.

When I received the game I was disappointed and thought he should have gifted me POPWW, he should have known what my favorite game is. By that time I had completed POPWW just three times on my other friend's PS2.

I wanted POPWW be the first game on my computer, but ok lets us what DOOM has. I installed it and stated the play and hey the game stuck!!! I then had to decrease the graphics details of the game and restart the computer.

I started the game again. And was shocked to have a game with the graphics more than POPWW. I was upset as i thought the UBISOFT people should have done more for the graphics of the game.

So, I started to play the game and felt like I am aimlessly playing the game. The game then actually started when I go to the communications lab. Thereafter the game was really great and it was surprisingly really very horrifying, which I really liked.

It was exam time and even then it gripped me so hard that I not only studied less but I at times even skipped my food for the game.

The game is really good at graphics and sound. I can’t imagine what it would look like in highest graphics. The game is about a marine commander who is posted on mars and there starts the adventure. He at first is given a job to search for a scientist in the old communications lab and then what happens there marks the start of a really long fight for life. The demons form hell have escaped through a hell hole and they have been busy creating another hell on mars.

Our hero has to undo the mistake by closing the hell hole. In this horrifying mission he gets a variety of weapons from hand-gun, chain-saw, rocket launcher, plasma gun, BFG (I don’t know what it actually means but many gamers call it “The Big F**king Gun”). My personal favourite being shot-gun.

There is also a special weapon named the soul cube and it is the king of all but it needs to be charged before firing and the charging requires five souls of enemies.

This game made me think that it is the DOOM of sword slashing games. But no, this is a good game and I really liked to play it but my favourite game would still be POPWW because of the free form fighting and awesome storyline.

For me DOOM has zero replay value and after this game I played POPWW again and completed it about 8 times.

Anyway, overall this game can be safely included in the list of THE GAME THAT ROCKS.

The Prince Of Persia Warrior Within

When I first saw the Prince Of Persia The Sands Of Time I was shocked by the graphics of the game....I was totaled stunned by the smoothness and flow of graphics but the one thing that took all the pleasure off the game was the way Prince used to find his way...It stuck my mind that he is on the mercy of the his enemies... If anyone has seen the start of the game he might have noticed that the Prince found his way through a wall when it was broken down in enemy shelling.

Next step, I quit the game....Not long after that its sequel THE PRINCE OF PERSIA WARRIOR WITHIN was released. I said to myself in amazement "Was the previous game a hit that they made another one on the same theme".. Well the gamer in me wanted to give it a shot.

POPWW started with a great video that showed prince running away from someone or something. The video was catchy. The Prince I noticed was different from that in POPTSOT. The fear was clear in his eyes. I just wanted to know what was prince running from. Then came a good battle with Shahdee. It was tiring the first time. And the cut scene with the Old Man made me play this game.

The game has killer graphics and awesome sound effects. The most impressive was the combat style the Ubisoft People have developed. They call it free style combat. One can have their enemies killed in the way they want.

Another fabulous achievement of this game is the story of the game. This game revolves over the Prince who knows his fate that he will be killed by the Guardian Of Time, a Beast named Dahaka, who is undefeatable. The Prince uses every ounce of his strength to change his fate.

Well, there are many aspects of the story which are to be left for gamers to discover, I won't ruin their fun.

One thing i guarantee is that it is fun to play and at times when it is hard to find the way and gamers get depressed the music encourages them ever second to look for another second.

It changed my view on how games are to be played. My Rule Now Is SHOW NO PREJUDICE. I also played the first part that is POPTSOT and the concluding part that is Prince Of Persia The Two Thrones which actually ends the story in a really great and satisfying way.

I completed the game in gross 20 hours the first time and since then I have completed it 11 times including 8 complete endings. And my latest and best time for this game is 6 and a half hours

This Game Surely Rocks.
